The Muscle Clinic is attended by a multidisciplinary team of specialists who provide comprehensive care to its patients. Specialists include an orthopaedist, neurologist, genetic counselor, social worker, therapists, and orthotist. The center is affiliated with the Rusk Institute Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Clinic at NYU Langone Medical Center.
Our Neurologist leads the multidisciplinary Spasticity Center team for management of cerebral palsy. We have close to two decades of experience treating focal spasticity using botulinum toxin injections. This clinic is among the first in NYC to use intrathecal baclofen therapy for severe generalized spasticity.
In addition to the treatments offered by these specialty clinics, we also provide care for a variety of other neurological disorders, including developmental delays, autistic spectrum disorders, chronic headaches, seizure disorder, spina bifida, and arthrogryposis.
The clinic is fortunate to have the interdisciplinary support from our geneticist, genetic counselor, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, orthopaedists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, neurophysiologists, social workers, and therapists. We are committed to making life easier for our patients and their families.
